June marks the launch of Chuby's Dancehall Academy in Australia, made possible with Jamaican and overseas Dancehall royalty.

Dancehall Royalty is about understanding who carries the culture, and why. From early pioneers like Gerald "Bogle" Levy, to the dancers and crews shaping the space over the decades, like Black Eagles and Xtreme Pushaz. Achieving royalty status in Dancehall means achieving originality and connection in movement — this is harder the more crews feel the pressure to create.

You will work through core steps, signature movements, of premiere Dancehall creators.

The Dancehall Academy extends these movements and fluency.

In this Series, you'll cover:

• Knowledge of key pioneers and their influence on movement
• A focus on presence and character
• Vocabulary of new school Dancehall
• Discipline and mindset aligned with Dancehall standards
